60 years of knowledge and experience.
Over the years of successful business, we have accumulated experience, introduced new solutions and more advanced approaches to design. We have always strived and still strive for our projects to be at the highest level, in accordance with regulations, norms and the latest technical achievements. For this purpose, we use modern information technology and software tools that enable a high level of productivity and ensure the quality of our products. With the acquired knowledge and experience, and with the support of the most modern computer technology, we are up to all design challenges; from bridging facilities (viaducts, bridges, underpasses, overpasses), high-rise buildings, to communal infrastructure (cleaning plants, sewers.
History
The beginnings of the bureau date back to 1962
As part of the Tehnogradnje company, a special design department is being formed, which served as support for the preparation of work on the construction of HPP on the Drava River. In parallel with the construction of hydroelectric power plants, the construction of roads and bridges in these areas also took place, and the company is also active abroad (Syria, Egypt, Libya).
The design department joins Gradis and is formed as an independent unit
In 1970, after the bankruptcy of Tehnogradenj, the design department joined Gradis as the business unit of Gradis for low-rise buildings. During this time, work begins on AC Vrhnika-Postojna and AC Hoče-Levec, where many bridging facilities are being designed. The development of new building technologies in high-rise buildings begins, especially the design of assembly halls, hospitals, hotels and others. In 1974, the company was transformed into an independent unit of the design bureau.
Privatization and transformation of the company
The company is renamed GRADIS biro za projektrijanje Maribor d.o.o.. The bureau designs many facilities in the context of road construction in Slovenia, especially on AC sections Šentilj-Pesnica, Vransko-Trojane, Trojane Blagovica and HC Razdrto-meja Italy.
Change in ownership structure
A new strategic partner enters the office's ownership structure. Due to partial stagnation in the field of construction in Slovenia, the company is actively looking for new forms of cooperation and new challenges in the field of design, both at home and abroad. It is being designed in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Switzerland and Slovenia.
Gradis signs a contract with one of the largest corporations in the world, Bechtel - Enka.
In cooperation with Bechtel - Enka, the office designs many bridging facilities in Kosovo. In the area of Slovenia, the bureau participates in numerous reconstructions and renovations of the facilities of the existing rolling stock network.
Gradis signs a contract for a mega bridge with a length of 3500m.
Gradis BP Maribor d.o.o., in a consortium with DB Inžinjering and the Maribor company Ponting, is creating a conceptual project for a new bridge over the Danube in Belgrade (code ADE HUJE with a total length of 3500m). The new bridge over the Danube will connect the city of Belgrade on the right bank with the area of Pančevo on the left side of the Danube with a six-lane road and lanes for pedestrians and cyclists. The total area of the bridge is more than four viaducts in Černoká, which is the largest bridging facility in Slovenia.
Today
Cooperation with Bechtel - Enka continues on the Moravian Corridor project in Serbia. At home, we participate in the project of the 3rd development axis with several bridging facilities as well as support structures. The company acts as a sovereign partner in the field of bridge construction and other infrastructure projects. We are present at key projects of the national road infrastructure, both for new constructions, as well as for reconstructions and renovations of the existing road network in Slovenia, as well as in the wider region.
